Well, I certainly could be even MORE unfrugal and buy these ridiculous products:
Popper Stoppers - WHAT? I'm supposed to tape down my belly button? You have got to be kidding me.
Hands-Free Car Seat Carrier Carrier - Apparently it's not enough to not touch the baby - we really shouldn't even touch their carrier.
People have asked me occasionally if the baby's room was done yet. It always takes me a few seconds to get what they're talking about. OH, a nursery. Yeah, I don't do that. My kids both spent their first year-ish in our room in a Pack N Play (okay, actually since the thing has done us such great service over these so many years, I should give the actual product name a shout out - it's an Evenflo BabyGo). So, the whole decorating a nursery thing? I've never really done it. But I'm cheap. There's nothing wrong with decorating an adorable nursery, it's just not my thing.
Sorry I've been kind of baby-oriented around here lately. That's just how it goes!

Popper stoppers. LOL
Who would buy those? I guess some have though, or they'd not be on the market.
And the carseat??? She looks smiling and happy in the picture (the woman) but I can guarantee that is NOT a comfortable way to carry a carseat! How often are you lugging the thing so far you'd need a sling for it anyway? If you are going to carry the baby for that long, just take them in a real baby sling. They need to show that woman happily carrying TWINS with that setup! hehe
Hee! about the hands-off carseat and the nursery. We must keep our babies at a distance at all costs!
The belly button thing reminds me of what they did when a baby had an umbilical hernia in the 1950s: they told the parents to duct-tape a penny over the navel. Seriously, there are photos of my big brother with the duct tape and the coin.
I just tagged you! Check out my blog to see the rules.
I love that you didn't decorate a room for a baby who doesn't know what that's about! I'm not against it, but I love, LOVE, that you use the great pack-n-play thing. So practical.
My little guy is sleeping in his pack-n-play by our bed right now :) He's going to outgrow the weight limit on the bassinet part too soon though. He's not even three months old and already about 17 lbs! So then he might just end up in our bed, because I'm not getting up to lift him in and out of the bottom part of the p-n-p, and no way am I going to move him to the crib in his sister's room yet!
What we did exactly, Amnesty! Kiddo usually spent the first part of the night, 8-10 in the PNP, then I'd bring him/her into bed with me for a dream feed when I came to bed. It worked great for us!
Thank you for getting me out of the non-nursery closet! Thank you for making it OK for me to admit that I didn't have a proper nursery for either of my boys.
It just seemed like such a waste of time/money/space until they were well into the walking/climbing stage of life.
I know tht I'm late to the party, but I have to say that the car seat carrier isn't so stupid. I had a similar set up with Fisher Price Stay in View carseats when I had my twins. It let me carry both carseats at once and still have an arm free to open doors without setting the carseats on the ground.
If the babies were asleep, I wasn't about to wake them before I got a nap! Otherwise I used an XL otsbh and just overlapped their feet.
I totally never thought about multiples! That does make sense!
