I rewrite our *actual* budget every two weeks, because we don't always need the gifts category or new clothing, and when we don't, that money goes toward debt.

And, hey, a random video for you. D is maybe like 11 months here? And I'm not Sarah Palin, whatever that accent may suggest.

We do the same two-week budget, and when I try to explain it to friends who ask, they get confuse- they insist on a weekly or monthly budget. Good thing to know we're not crazy!

Thanks for sharing this, Tenille. I'm currently revamping ours & it's good to know that others do the same thing. (BTW, we ARE crazy, just not alone) ;-)

$783 each month towards debt snowball?!? Man, you guys are KICKIN' IT!!! Way to go!

I wanted to ask something yesterday, but my lunch break ended as I was typing. Just out of curiosity, when you go to Target (a.k.a. the den of iniquity) how do you figure which budget envelope to use for household items & stuff that isn't in a unique category?

We have a "Grocery" envelope since we most often get cleaning, health, beauty, etc. supplies from the same store as our food. There always seems to be some item that fall into no-mans-land.
