Help?

So. This is the infant car seat. It's a Graco Snugride.

This is the part of the Graco Snugride that I have never understood. I do not know where it goes. Maybe it is not actually part of the car seat, but perhaps it is part of the stroller.

This is the back of the part of the Graco Snugride that I have never understood.

Anyone?? Help?

Dude, you have got me. I've been puzzling over car seats for 7 years. It's such a relief to finally be into the boosters.

I have never had a carseat/stroller and cannot understand them. I had a Peg Perego convertible pram/ stroller for Sam and am still recovering from the trauma of the Italian instructions.

I'm not sure because its been a while since we had an infant seat.. but do you use that piece when they don't need the infant head support 'wrap' anymore for it to have a flat back???

Is it a pad that goes behind the buckle and leg straps? It looks like it has three slots on the back. If so, it's to keep the baby's legs from getting pinched or burned by a sun-warmed buckle. Rare in an Oregon winter, I know.

It could be the soaker pad... bottom region to absorb any oopsies. :)

According to page 18 (Section 4.4) in the manual, it looks to be a variation on the head support.

Good luck!
