I don't know what's more embarrassing about this, the state of the closet before, or how very little is done in the "after."
Before:
I decided first to tackle the books - they were heavy and everywhere and E couldn't get them off the shelf anymore. So I took the 4 empty Luvs boxes we had and the Contact paper leftover from lining the baby's dresser drawers and made some boxes for the books. (Three straight ahead and one in the upper left corner you can only just barely see.)
I kind of like how the boxes turned out and I think I'm going to keep doing it - one for doctor toys, one for tools, etc.
I worked more last night on the toys, but the battery in my camera died. If I get pictures, I'll post!
Oh, no. I know what's most embarrassing! The fact that I didn't even think to move all those dresses out of the way so that you could actually see what I was taking a picture of! Yeah, that's it.

I love your idea of reusing the diaper boxes.
Is that an understairs closet? If so, that's a great idea!
Nope. Not understairs. I don't know who put the nice shelves in, but they were there when we moved in.
You have to love closets!! I need to clean out our closets SOOOOO badly! The one in the guest room is lethal if you open it! I've GOT To get rid of that stuff!! I love how you made the boxes!! What a great idea!!
I really, really like your idea of re-using the diaper boxes - very creative solution!
Thanks for your recent nice comment (I'll share some pictures and organzing thoughts soon)
And, by the way - very cool blog! I've bookmarked you :-)
Best wishes!
That pink/white/zebra print dress there in the front is adorable. :)
Your idea with the diaper boxes is great! We have those plastic tote boxes with our books in them... only because I seem to have a ton of them, not sure how that happened... I think they used to store holiday deco or something! :)
Aren't you kind of early to be nesting this seriously? New furniture... closet over-hauls... Although, with my third I freaked out that she didn't yet have a crib (our previous one had been borrowed and broke) when I was 28 weeks and went to the store at 9pm, bought one, and hauled in home in the back of my station wagon... all by myself. Then I stayed up all night assembling it. Guess it gets earlier with each one!
Cheers!

I think now I just fully understand how miserable I'm going to be later! :)
