Very big of you to admit that.

Even as a kid doing slave labor for my parents, I remember LOVING the peas right out of the garden, pod and all.

Hi Tenille,
i just found your blog and I'm delighted. I'm going to try out some of your recipe ideas. I have three boys, aged 6, 9, and 13. The two youngest must eat strictly gluten-free. My nine year old also has a nut allergy and other dietary issues. Anyway, I just wanted to say HI and commend you for your awesome blog. I intend to visit often. Also, as a kid, I could not believe how extremely awful canned peas tasted, but later, I, too, discovered that I loved fresh peas out of the garden. I even liked to chew on the pods. (soory so long)

HI! I am thinking of going gluten free with our kids-no one has been diagnosed with celiac but other family has and the more we talk about symptoms I am asking to have my kids tested just to be sure-even if negative I want to transition to a healthier gluten free diet. If only I could get Dh on board!!!!

Anyway, I just found your blog and wanted to say hello-BTW I LOVE fresh peas too. As a child I had never eaten a canned pea. I had them for the first time at my now MILs house-I almost spit them out! I have loved fresh peas my entire life though-funny what a can and some salt can do.

Welcome MOMMY! :)

I'm not a pea fan myself. It's a texture thing. So do the fresh ones have a non-pasty texture?

Oh yeah, fresh peas are sweet and crunchy and crisp - almost like a carrot, actually. Not at all like canned peas.

Look at me, an expert, ha ha! I just tried my first garden pea last week! :)
