I went to a meeting last night. South Dakota is starting a "Buy Fresh Buy Local" chapter. Attendees (all couple of us) were asked to spread the word.
I'm finding, more than ever, that for good things to happen, we have to make them happen. And being able to buy local food and support local producers? Is a very good thing.

If you ever happen to be in Iowa, let me know and I'll take you to the best Mexican restaurant. They buy most of their ingredients from local farmers. It's neat to read about the farms that the onions come from, or the beef, or whatever.
That would be awesome!
