Never stop learning.
When E was diagnosed as "gluten intolerant," our doctor just printed a few pages off the Interet and mailed it to us. Mail! Like, what are we supposed to do during those two mail days?
We were lucky enough to have some of our best friends have GFCF kids. Lucky enough to live in the age of Google. Lucky enough to have the wherewithall to read and learn and study and (partially) understand.
But in a food allergy situation, you absolutely *must* be your own, or your child's, advocate. You cannot put your health in the hands of any one doctor or web site or person. You can't read a label one time and continue buying that product, because sometimes they change. You just can't stand still.
