On Saturdays I like to get up and take the kids for a long walk to rummage sales, which gives SuperDad a chance to sleep in. For which I resent him later, but that's another blog.
I rarely buy things at rummage sales, though occasionally I see a good deal. More often than not, though, I look at the prices people put on their stuff and I think, "What are you THINKING?" Who are these people that think someone wants to pay $2.00 for a kids t-shirt that was originally $3.00 at Wal-Mart and now a) is stained, b) is missing buttons, and/or c) has holes in it? I mean, really. However, if I see something that is in good shape, at a good price, is a good brand, is less than the amount of change I've got with me, and fits in the stroller basket, I will buy it. This weekend, I got E an Osh Kosh winter coat for $3.00.
Later that day, we went to the water park. It was actually "only" $15.50, since my one-year-old got in for free. Honestly? Money issues aside? It was AWESOME. The kids had just the best time. Their faces must have hurt from all the smiling. Mine did.
Maybe next year, we'll buy the kids a family pass as their birthday present. Hmmm...
