With five kids they are NOT getting new ones each August... That would easily cost $300 or more! Ick.

Instead of buying new jeans for myself... I'm sending mine to the doctor... www.denimtherapy.com.

We use California Baby (not cheap) soap for the super sensitive kids... you might also try making your own either shea butter or glycerin based.

My oldest daughter usually gets new clothes, but then they go through 2 more girls before getting passed on to another kiddo somewhere.

Cheers!
Jamie

www.looksgoodinpolkadots.wordpress.comHappily Frugal Mamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02888881965139634579noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8064514075916057092.post-77272124463954460362008-05-13T08:27:00.000-05:002008-05-13T08:27:00.000-05:00I'll definitely look into that soap. Sounds expensive, but maybe if I buy the school their supply for the year? (Entire school is about 40 kids.)Tenillehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18064232873442152162noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8064514075916057092.post-15322515691179420532008-05-12T17:08:00.000-05:002008-05-12T17:08:00.000-05:00I am slightly embarrassed to admit that I am a hor...I am slightly embarrassed to admit that I am a horrible CONSUMER. I love the idea of buying used but I don't find myself doing it often enough. In fact, other than baby diapers or free hand-me-down clothing for the kids, I can't remember the last "used" item that I've purchased....probably maternity clothes a year ago. Yikes.

As a side note, have you tried Dr. Bronner's liquid castile soap? I LOVE it and they have a non-scented version that works very well on sensitive skin (in my experience).Lindsey Jhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12347780852320099720noreply@blogger.com
