SuperDad hasn't always been a fan of things like generic foods. He used to worry that our kids would, one day, go to school, where the teacher would ask, "What did you have for breakfast?" And our kids would be embarassed by having eaten some weird off-brand with a funny name, which I would have bought because it was cheap.
How ironic now that we pay up to $5.00 a box for gluten-free cereal, and our kids will still be faced with the same dilemma.
I, however, have a different view on this. Firstly, I don't think there's anything wrong with learning a lesson about being different. But what do I know? I grew up on Cap'n Crunch.
Maybe we'll just serve toast.

I'd be surprised if teachers even have the nerve to ask that question anymore; too many kids are sent to school without any breakfast at all or depend on the free meal program.
Have you tried Puffins? I love their original and it is not quite as expensive as the rest. The remind me of golden grahms, just less sweet. But I must admit the get soggy in milk quick. I also love Envirokids gf cereals, especially the kola krisp. It is awesome. For me it runs about 3.49.
My kiddos aren't huge fans of Puffins. I think they're just too... big or something. But Gorilla Munch is a huge hit at our house. All GF cereals sell for about $5.00 a box around here. Gag.
