Why I Don't Use Coupons

It's simple, really. When's the last time you saw a coupon for a bag of dried beans or bulk rice? For bananas? For a head of lettuce? Maybe you have access to coupons like that? I don't.

You don't either! I thought I was a freak for not using coupons. I just don't get it. These people talk about all the money they save, and I think, but I don't need to buy that. And we don't get the newspaper, so we don't have coupons to NOT use.

We do get coupons for bananas! A local grocery store offers a "Spend $15, get two pounds of bananas free" coupon every week. It's really not a huge savings, because bananas aren't very expensive, but I do use that coupon -- and I use it to buy the organic bananas. Hee.

Other than that? Not so much. I'll use a buy-one-get-one coupon sometimes, if it's something I'm getting anyway. But no, the things we buy aren't usually on the coupon rotation.

(Besides, they are kind of a pain!)
