Dinner Update

Corn Potato Chowder in the Crockpot

2 cups corn (.92)
2 medium potatoes (free from MIL)
2 cups chicken broth (made from bouillion .25)
salt (probably unnecessary)
pepper
onion
1 1/2 cups milk (.37)
1 T butter (?)

Combine first 6 ingredients in slow cooker, cook on low for 7-9 hours. Add the milk and butter during the last hour of cooking. The recipe suggested you take out half of the potatoes and corn and blend them in the blender and add them back in. I told SuperDad I think I needed a blender because recipes sometimes call for this. Then he opened the cupboard and so kindly showed me the blender that I put up there when we moved in and since completely forgot about. Oh. Ha. I also added some smoked sausage because we had some, but the recipe didn't call for it. (.50)

Total: $2.04
